On May 9th 2016, the Planet Mercury transitted the disc of the sun from our vantage point in the solar system.  Mercury is the tiny dark-dot located to the lower left of center, moving right and finally off the solar disc. The animation is comprised of 198 images taken over 1-hour and 45 minutes and organized to produce the 19-second video. The shaking of the sun in the video is the result of trying to keep it centered in the camera over the almost 2-hours of imaging.
